Provided by AGPThe group said strikes targeted military vehicles, drone jamming systems and launchers belonging to Israel's Iron Dome air defense network, framing the operations as retaliation for Israeli ceasefire violations and attacks on southern villages.
Hezbollah said it deployed drones against an Israeli military engineering vehicle in the southern Lebanese city of Bint Jbeil and claimed direct hits on a technical device and a command vehicle at the Jal Al-Allam site in northern Israel.
The group also reported confronting an Israeli Heron 1 drone over Lebanon's Bekaa region with a surface-to-air missile, forcing it to withdraw. Further claimed strikes targeted four Iron Dome launchers at the Branit and Ramim barracks, alongside three Drone Dome anti-drone jamming systems at Nimr Al-Jamal, Al-Jardah and Naqoura. Hezbollah also reported hitting Israeli troop concentrations in Deir Siryan and Bayyada using artillery and drones.
Fiber-optic-guided Hezbollah drones have generated growing alarm within Israeli defense circles in recent months due to the significant challenges they pose for detection and interception. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has labeled them a "major threat" and has ordered the military to develop effective countermeasures.
Lebanese officials report that more than 3,100 people have been killed and 1.6 million displaced since Israel launched its latest offensive on Lebanon on March 2, following Hezbollah's retaliatory actions in the Iran war. Israeli strikes have continued despite a US-brokered ceasefire formally set to remain in force until early July.
